What to Bring for a River Day

A simple checklist to make sure your river adventure is comfortable, safe, and enjoyable.

Packing the right things makes a big difference on a river day. Here's a simple checklist to make sure you show up comfortable, prepared, and ready to enjoy every minute.

The essentials: water (at least one bottle per person), sunscreen, a hat, and shoes that can get wet — water sandals, old sneakers, or river shoes all work well. Flip-flops are best left in the car.

Optional but helpful: a small dry bag for your phone and keys, a light snack, a change of clothes for the drive home, and a towel. If you run warm, a light long-sleeve shirt offers great sun protection without overheating.

Leave the valuables at home. The river is a place to unplug, and most guests find that a phone tucked safely away makes for a much better experience. RiverRob will take care of everything else.
